This is the first version of a stamp I'm making right now; I actually made this one by accident by convenient placement of the image when I Copied/Pasted things onto the screen. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am so tired of people thinking that every OC or RPC is automatically a Mary Sue. I understand that there are a lot of "LOOK @ MY RAINBOW-HAIRED ANGEL AND HER LUV @ 1ST SITE SASUKEEE" people out there, and "LOOKIT MY LITTLE SLUT AND HER LUVAH HEEAYY".
But there are also a good number of people that make the relationship make sense, and put in an effort to keep it from becoming Suish.
I realize that an OC with a romantic link with a series character will have some degree of Sueness, but really, how many well-developed, interesting characters- even series characters, not just OC's- can you name that can score a solid ZERO on a Mary-Sue test? I, personally, can't name a single one.
This stamp was mostly inspired by the difficulty I'm having finding artists for a couple request of mine that happens to be half-fanart. Most of the time, this difficulty is caused by the artist refusing to draw Fanart. Now I'll be honest, I don't know every possible reason the artist may have for this and I realize that many people may have good reasons, but for those of you that use this reason as your defense...
Take the time to read the story of the relationship before you judge it. You might be missing out.
And in closing: *neuters all the little fanwhores that ruined it for everyone else*
